Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
InaanApp ("we", "us", "the app") helps you keep track of your godparent relationships — your ninongs, ninangs, and inaanaks. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address (used to send a one-time sign-in code) and an optional display name you provide.
- Content you create. The relationship information you enter — names, relationship type (ninong, ninang, or inaanak), birthdays, sacrament details, and notes — plus the email address of anyone you choose to invite to connect.
- Device notification token. If you enable notifications, a push token is stored so we can deliver reminders and connection updates to your device.
- Basic technical data. Standard diagnostic information needed to operate the service reliably.
How we use your information
- To provide the app and store your relationship lists.
- To sign you in and, when you are signed in, back up and sync your data across your devices.
- To send birthday and Pamasko (gift) reminders and notifications you enable.
- To deliver invitations to the people you choose to invite.
Local-first by design
The app works offline and stores your data on your device. Cloud backup and cross-device sync happen only when you are signed in. Your notes are private to you and are not shared automatically.
How information is shared
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers. We use a small number of service providers who process data only to run the app on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and secure database hosting for cloud sync.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
- Resend — sending sign-in codes and invitation emails.
If you send an invitation, we email the address you provide so that person can accept and connect with you. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete data within the app, and you may request deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time by emailing us at the address below. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to cloud data is restricted by per-user access controls so you can only reach your own records.
Children's privacy
InaanApp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
